Leopoldina Workshop on Plasma Membrane Domains in Fungi and Plants
The first meeting on fungal and plant plasma membrane compartmentation will take place in Prague, The Czech Republic on October 10 – 13, 2010, in premises of Hotel Beranek, Prague 2. The aim is to get together scientists spread worldwide for a focused discussion on plasma membrane compartmentation. Scientific program of the meeting will include three days of talks – each participant should actively take part in the workshop – focused on the following topics:
- Protein segregation into distinct sub-domains of the yeast plasma membrane
- Evidence for protein segregation in plants
- Role of lipid composition on plasma membrane compartmentation (lipid rafts)
- Cytosolic complexes associated to membrane domains
- Functional aspects of membrane compartmentation
